After a few weeks of sitting on top of the DVD player in it’s Netfilx envelope I finally got around to watching The Devil and Daniel Johnston over the weekend. Daniel Johnston, a prolific artist, musician and singer/songwriter suffers from bipolar disorder and manic drepression. If you’re not familiar with DJ or his body of work, take some time and check him out. You wont be disappointed.

Where We Live: Photographs of America from the Berman Collection currently on view at The Getty Center is a MUST SEE for fans of 20th-centruy American lifestyle photogrpahy. My favorite photograph from the exhibit, Joel Sternfeld’s A Homeless Man with His Bedding is exquisite. Unlike other photographs in the exhibit, Sternfeld’s photo is less about environment, instead focusing his attention on the simple beauty of this man.

Georgie James played two shows in Los Angeles this week. Surprisingly, I was in town and able to see both shows, which were amazing. So many times when a band I like comes through town, I’m gone on assignment. Luckily, this week I was around.
Check out their song Cake Parade
